The Closed Mind: 

Some people close their minds and refuse to examine anything the threatens their cherished beliefs.   They believe that they already know all there is to know about some aspect of life.   They function under the assumption that their perspective of reality is completely accurate and that everyone who disagrees with them is wrong.   This closed-minded approach to life has brought humanity to the brink of irreversible, wholesale disaster of unprecedented proportions.  Unfortunately, most of the people who control the our nation's politics, economics and the organized religions are stuck in several dysfunctional and un-provable beliefs.   To see how well this doesn't work, readers are directed to the page titled:   The Grandfather Generation.   

The Grandfather Generation:

There are powerful, special-interest people whose minds are dominated by the mentality (the basic belief system)  of The Grandfather Generation.   These man can't or won't make changes that conflict with their basic beliefs.   Their lives and the policies and practices that they push onto the rest of us are based on a set of obsolete fundamental, un-provable beliefs  --  beliefs such as usury,  /// exploitation for profit,   ///   separation from God, from nature and from fellow humans,   ///  lies of omission are not lies,  /// anything is OK, including destroying the environment, as long as it produces a short-term profit.

The Open Mind:

The OMACouncil functions from a very different perspective.   Ours is an open-minded approach to reality.   We make no claims that we know anything with complete, provable certainty.   Of course we hold opinions and beliefs, but we make no effort to force them onto others, because we know that they are just OUR opinions and OUR beliefs.  

We also understand that their is often a vast difference between what the evidence tells us about reality and what someone believes about reality.   Rather than declaring our beliefs to be expressions of reality, we let the evidence speak for itself.

Illusions:

For at least the last one-hundred years, those who claim to be our leaders have used a brilliant illusion to give the impression that they are working to solve problems when in fact they are not.   They declare war on the symptom and ignore the root cause of the problem.  

Here's the real skinny:  

1)  The Universal Laws tell us that to fight something is to feed it the Universal Creative Energy.   Fighting something actually empowers the thing being fought and makes it stronger.   So rather then solving the problem, our so-called leaders are actually doing just the opposite.   Treating a symptom empower the problem and make it stronger.

2)   Treating symptoms does absolutely nothing to solve problems.   For example, billions of dollars are spent each year fighting crime that is caused by keeping certain drugs illegal.   Legalizing these mind-altering substances and treating their misuse as a medical problem would take the profit out of drug peddling,   This would eliminate at least seventy percent of all crime.  

3)  In the process, our so-called leaders extract huge amounts of money from the public treasury.   Each year, billions of tax dollars go to fighting everything form terrorists to fisting and everything in between.

4)   They tell us how essential they are.   They tell us that without them, we'd be hopelessly lost  --  without them, we'd be overwhelmed by the enemy -- an enemy which, by the way, they created, bought, and paid for with your tax dollars.

5)   Then they tell us how wonderful they are and thereby justify the fact that they live in luxury while the average person struggles just to survive.
